- Login to WHM.
- Navigate to Account Functions and click on Create a New Account.
- Fill in the necessary details for the account.
- Under the Package section, you can set a predefined package with a bandwidth limit, or under the Manual Resource Options, you can directly specify the bandwidth limit.
- Complete the account creation process.
- Login to WHM.
- Go to Account Functions and select Limit Bandwidth Usage.
- Select the account you want to adjust.
- Enter the new bandwidth limit in megabytes (MB).
- Click Change to save the new limit.
- Login to WHM.
- Go to Account Information and select View Bandwidth Usage.
- This section displays the bandwidth usage for all accounts, allowing you to monitor and ensure that no account exceeds its limit.
- Login to WHM.
- Navigate to Server Configuration and click on Tweak Settings.
- Under the Notifications tab, look for Bandwidth Usage Warnings.
- Set the thresholds at which you want to be notified (e.g., 80% and 100% of the bandwidth limit).
- Save your settings.
- Login to WHM.
- Go to Packages and click on Add a Package.
- Define the bandwidth limit for the package.
- When you're setting up or changing accounts, make sure to allocate them to the right package. This one should have the bandwidth limit you need.
Managing bandwidth well means your server resources are spread out evenly. No one customer uses up too much. It keeps things fair for everyone.
