The central to the H100 80GB PCIe GPU Server is the NVIDIA H100 GPU that comes with fourth-generation Tensor Cores and the Transformer Engine with the ability to support FP8. These enhancements allow the H100 to produce the highest large-scale language model performance in the industry, attaining 4X training speed up and 30X inference speed up compared to the previous generation. For the HPC tasks, the H100 increases the raw FLOPS of FP64 by tripling.
It adds DPX instructions to provide up to 7X better performance compared to its precursors, which makes the H100 suitable for use by organizations solving highly computationally intensive problems such as complex simulations and scientific computing, as well as data-processing centres.
