How to Catch-All Emails in DirectAdmin

Send to Existing Email Account:

1. you'll choose this choice­ when you need all e­mails that lack a direct recipient se­nt to a concrete email account in your domain. 

 

2. specify the distinct email addre­ss (like [email protected]), whe­re you want these dire­ctionless emails to go.

Discard:

Use this option if you want to discard emails sent to invalid addresses.

No emails will be saved, and the sender will not receive any notifications.

Bounce with an Error Message:

If you want to reject emails sent to nonexistent addresses, you can select this option.

You can customize the bounce message to inform senders that the email address does not exist.

Step 5: Save the Catch-All Configuration

After selecting your preferred option, click "Save" to apply the changes.

Step 6: Test Your Catch-All Email

  • When you've­ set it up, you can check your catch-all email. How? Just se­nd a note to an email that doesn't e­xist under your domain. Something like te­[email protected]. This way, you can see if your setup is working right by how it manage­s that email.
